Christian Swenson is a performing artist and teacher from Seattle, Washington, who has been touring the Northwest and beyond since 1986. He has created a truly original integrated art form by combining his talents as a dancer, mime, singer, clown, and naturalist, As a performer and a teacher he demonstrates some of the infinite possibilities of humankind's original instruments, the body and voice. The result is as infectious as it is inspiring.
His delightful and inspiring one-man show is an amazing journey of transformation and spontaneity. Drawing from a global palette of sound and movement he "disappears" into songs, characters, animals, aliens, body music or mere energy; taking audiences from ecstatic trance “dansing” to his renown "De-evolution", from Bluegrass scat to 12th Century Sufi poetry to spontaneous “word” improvisations. Christian offers presenters the simplicity of a low-tech solo show with a wide-range of out-reach and educational programs.
