How long have you been in business?
We have been serving the tea community since December 1990, both bricks and mortar and online at perennialtearoom.com.
What is your primary product or service?
We stock teas and tea wares from all over the world.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Sue and Julee have always loved tea and we decided that we would enjoy owning a shop that specialized in helping people put together their own afternoon tea. Since then the shop has grown to be a stockist of rare and unusual teas, elegant, functional and fun teapots and teawares.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We are unique in that we source our teas from a number of different specialist tea merchants and taste before we buy tea for our customers - we use most of the products we sell so we are familiar with how they work, and we offer people a chance to pour out of a teapot before they buy it.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We a a small unique owner operated business and our only shop is in Seattle's Historic Pike Place Market. We have no plans to open any other locations
