ALPS is an established ESL school based in the Capitol Hill area of Seattle. Our goal is to help our diverse student body achieve their English language goals.
Students can learn English quickly in friendly and professional small group and private classes. Our flexible course structure offers group and private classes, with a maximum of 8 students per class.

How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
After graduating from Seattle University with a passion for languages, Peter Hauge got his first job teaching English in the People’s Republic of China in 1988. After many teaching and travel adventures, he returned to the U.S. to teach at the ELS Language Center at Seattle University in 1992. That same year, he and a small group of teachers came together to form ALPS, and the rest is part of our 25 year history.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
ALPS offers competitive pricing and a flexible course structure for group and private classes, with a maximum of 8 students per group class.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
ALPS currently has one location in the Capitol Hill area of Seattle. We are looking to expand our school with locations on the Eastside and other areas with high ESL demands.

ALPS is 5 minutes walk north of the Capitol Hill Link Light Rail station, on the opposite side of Broadway from QFC.
What type of payments do you accept?
All major credit and debit cards, cash, check, and PayPal.
Which areas do you service?
Greater Seattle area and Eastside.
What are your hours of operation?
8:30 AM - 5:00 PM
