Dedicated to the memory of the mysterious harmonica player, songwriter and classic bluesman Alex "Rice" Miller AKA Sonny Boy Williamson. The host William E. Donoghue AKA 'fessor Mojo is (while he can not sing or play harmonica) the most knowledgeable expert on Williamson. "Bill Donoghue knows more about Sonny
Boy than Sonny Boy," observes James Cotton, who was raised by Sonny Boy and his band. Donoghue has done hundreds of hours of oral research on Sonny Boy Williamson II, Robert Johnson and Robert Lockwood Jr., Johnson's stepson with whom Donoghue was considered family. He was nominated to the Board of Trustees for the American Folklife Society by the Deputy Librarian of Congress. Although Mickey Hart, one of the Greatful Dead's drummers won the position, Donoghue has appeared on eight major blues festivals as a delta blues historian and story teller. His over 300 interviews, many in the field in the Mississippi/Arkansas delta are a major contribution to the knowledge of 1920s through 1960s blues history.
