How long have you been in business?
We have been providing massage therapy since 1999.
What is your primary product or service?
Therapeutic massage and bodywork. We treat auto, work, and sports related injuries as well as stress relief and relaxation, though we are primarily a medical massage clinic.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I came about the massage profession literally by accident, but more specifically, my mom's two car accidents. My mom made me massage her for 20 minutes almost every day for weeks since her car accidents. Then I found out that giving massages to friends were enjoyable enough that a couple of the friends I massaged hinted that I should do this for a living. And here I am as a licensed massage practitioner in Renton, WA.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Since graduating at Renton Technical College's Massage Therapy Program in 1999, I have accumulated more than 300 hours of continuing education units (CEUs), learning Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT) techniques, Myofascial Release (MFR), Traditional Thai Massage, Massage Cupping, and other modalities. I don't just get the minimum requirement. I do my best to learn what I think will serve my clients and patients. My colleagues and coworkers at Century Massage & Bodywork want our clients and patients to know that we use several different modalities to get the best result at each session. We want them to know that when you get quality-hour sessions combined with pro-active participation of their clients towards their recovery the result is less visits and more living pain-free.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We currently only have one location and that's here in downtown Renton. Our office is open Sunday through Friday by appointment only. Scheduling with Century Massage is a breeze, too! 24/7 online and phone scheduling.

Our Renton clinic is located on South Grady Way between the old Roxy theater and Red Lion Hotel off of Rainier Avenue in Renton, WA. We're in suite LL25 in the lower level of the Evergreen Building and just right off the WA-167 / I-405 interchange.
What type of payments do you accept?
We accept cash, check, Visa, MasterCard, and American Express.
Which areas do you service?
We are able to do outcalls in the King County area, though most of our clients do come to our facility for medical massages, and our outcall service is strictly for current clients. We also provide sports massage during the annual cycling event called Obliteride in Tacoma and Seattle.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
My wife, Marianne, and I co-own Century Massage. Both she and I are Licensed Massage Practitioners and both graduates of Renton Technical College's Massage Program. We are currently have three (3) other massage therapists who work part-time at Century Massage, and we are in the market to hire two (2) full-time LMPs and another part-time admin assistant.
What are your hours of operation?
We are available by appointment only. Monday thru Friday between 10am and 7pm and Sunday between 10am to 4pm.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
Referring their family and friends to our office clinic for massage.
